Land Rover – Turbo Replacement
AJ 4X4 recently completed a turbo replacement on a Land Rover Discovery. Access to the turbocharger on this model is restricted, so the job required careful preparation, correct tooling and a controlled strip-down process.
The body was lifted from the chassis to give proper access to the engine bay. This allowed our technicians to inspect the turbo, oil feeds, seals and surrounding components before fitting the replacement unit.
The new turbocharger was installed with fresh seals and correctly connected oil lines. These checks are important because poor oil supply, contamination or damaged pipework can cause repeat turbo failure.
Once the work was complete, the vehicle was reassembled and tested. We checked boost performance, leaks and general running before returning the Discovery to the customer.
