Booking, Estimates, and Payment Information
Effective date: 1 September 2026.
These terms are issued by AJ 4X4 LTD, company number 16880662, whose registered office is Unit 5b Mill Lane, Passfield, Liphook, Hampshire, United Kingdom, GU30 7QU. The workshop address used for customer visits is shown on the contact page.
Booking
The current investigation charge, what it includes and its VAT treatment will be confirmed in writing when the booking is agreed. Findings and an estimate for any further work will be provided where applicable.
Once agreed work is complete, we will contact you by phone or SMS and request collection. Any storage charge for a vehicle left after the agreed collection period must be confirmed in the booking or later written agreement before it applies.
Please note we do not have a waiting area on site and due to health and safety all vehicles will need to be left with us for the duration of the booking.
Estimates
We will seek approval if anything occurs outside the requested/expected works and prepare an estimate for your review.
Where an estimate is prepared, the workshop will wait for the customer's decision before carrying out additional work. If authorisation is not received, work will pause. Any storage charge applies only if its amount, trigger and start date were confirmed in writing in advance.
Any charge for research or preparation on a large project or modification must be agreed in writing before that work begins, including what happens if the main project is not approved.
A detailed written or diagnostic report may be quoted separately where more detail is required, including for a warranty claim.
Payment
Part payment may be required before work begins or parts are ordered, particularly for high-value, special-order or modification parts. The amount, parts and refund or cancellation position will be confirmed in writing before payment is requested.
Payment is due before the vehicle is released. Accepted payment methods are confirmed with the booking.
