Workshop update details
Freelander 2 (hippo)
Came into us with a rumble in the jungle
On further investigation, we found that both of the front wheel bearings had Noche feel on rotation
And further on, we also found that the Centre bearing on the driver side driveshaft had failed
And whilst we were looking around, the state of the inside of the brake discs were heavily corroded and pitted
Also carried out a full engine bay service
finished off by using our dealer level software to recalibrate and reset the service system
Another happy little hippo

About this workshop update
A rumbling noise led to further investigation of this Freelander 2. Rotational noise can come from wheel bearings, tyres, brakes or driveline components, so each likely source needs to be checked. The inspection also identified related wear requiring attention before the vehicle was returned to the customer.
